Sewing ulu
Mary Kilaodluk
muskox horn, saw blade steel
A smaller form of the ulu knife exists for the purposes of sewing. Aside from their size, the two forms of knife are distinguished by the sewing knife's more rounded blade. This blade is used for detailed work involved in sewing, including the cutting and trimming of skins.
